چکیده

A simple approach is reported that yields high resolution, high sensitivity H NMR spectra of intact biofluids with limited mass supply. This is achieved by spinning a capillary sample tube containing a biofluid at the magic angle and at a spinning rate of about 80Hz. A 2D pulse sequence called H PASS is used to produce a high-resolution H NMR spectrum that is free from magnetic susceptibility induced line broadening. Using this new approach a high resolution H NMR spectrum of biofluids with a volume less than 1.0 l μ can be achieved at a magnetic field strength as low as 7.05T. Furthermore, the methodology facilitates easy sample handling and is suitable for high throughput investigations. In this paper first results are shown obtained at a magnetic field of 7.05T on urine samples collected from mice using a modified commercial NMR probe.

Profiling of carbohydrate mixtures at unprecedented resolution using high-precision 1H-13C chemical shift measurements and a reference library.

Complex mixtures of carbohydrates pose distinct challenges in routine and high-throughput analysis, so that only a few carbohydrate components are routinely resolved and identified in biofluids, extracts, foods and other complex mixtures. Here, we conduct precise measurements of (1)H and (13)C anomeric chemical shifts to construct a reference library of specific carbohydrate signals with high-r...

Simultaneous analysis of explosives to identify, determine the purity and eliminate environmental pollution requires rapid, simple and cheap methods. Spectrophotometries method (UV-Vis), high-field proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), Raman spectroscopy and near infrared (NIR) are common methods that are applicable in two ways of direct and indirect in simultaneous analysis. In this poin...

Quantification of organic and amino acids in beer by 1H NMR spectroscopy.

The quantification of organic and amino acids in beer using 1H NMR spectroscopy is demonstrated. Quantification was made both by integration of signals in the spectra together with use of calibration references and by use of partial least-squares (PLS) regression. Results from the NMR quantifications were compared with those obtained from determinations by amino acid analysis on HPLC and organi...

Capillary-Inserted Rotor Design for HRµMASNMR-Based Metabolomics on Mass-Limited Neurospheres.

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a powerful analytical technique and has been widely used in metabolomics. However, the intrinsic low sensitivity of NMR prevents its applications to systems with limited sample availabilities. In this study, a new experimental approach is presented to analyze mass-scarce samples in limited volumes of less than 300 nL with simple handling. The sam...

A new approach in 1D and 2D 13C high-resolution solid-state NMR spectroscopy of paramagnetic organometallic complexes by very fast magic-angle spinning.

Novel 1D and multidimensional solid-state NMR (SSNMR) methods using very fast magic-angle spinning (VFMAS) (spinning speed > 20 kHz) for performing 13C high-resolution SSNMR of paramagnetic organometallic complexes are discussed. VFMAS removes a majority of 13C-1H and 1H-1H dipolar couplings, which are often difficult to remove by RF pulse techniques in paramagnetic complexes because of large p...
